The 2022 Road Glide Special is built around Harley-Davidson's Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine (1,868cc, 118 lb-ft of torque) and the frame-mounted "shark nose" fairing that shrugs off wind on the open highway. It is a natural fit for circling Oahu: the six-gallon tank and 43 mpg rating give the range to run the full island loop, from Kalanianaole Highway past Makapuu and Hanauma Bay up to the North Shore and Haleiwa, without stopping for fuel. The Boom Box GTS infotainment with its 6.5-inch color touchscreen keeps navigation and audio within reach, and the fitted sissy bar makes the cruise two-up back to Waikiki comfortable for a passenger. A motorcycle license is required to ride.
